OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's women's soccer team fell to Southern Nazarene 2-1, ending a 12-match win streak Saturday night at Stars Field.
The Stars' only goal came from Sarah Leonard, a junior from West Yorkshire, England. She was assisted by Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England.
Southern Nazarene, ranked 15th in the NAIA, had the next two goals in the match scored by Rachel Eguren and Beatriz Da Cas.
“It was a disappointing loss for us,” said OCU coach Brian Harvey. “We dominated in possessions during the match, but lacked concentrated defense.”
OCU record is now 12-4-1, 8-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars face Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Stars Field.
